A Potomac Flora

This Flora was created over a period of two years beginning in 2020. All of the flowers were found in Loudoun County, the majority in Balls Bluff Park along the Potomac River. Balls Bluff is one of the best places to view spring ephemeral flowers in Northern Virginia.

There are over 100 flowers in this Flora. All of them were identified the old-fashioned way, with a book and a key. Computer apps were only used for verification. Apps are very useful but, in my opinion, you will never develop your senses as a naturalist if you continually use apps.
